About the Client
JK Paper Ltd is one of India’s leading paper manufacturers, with a strong presence across office papers, coated boards, and specialty papers. With integrated manufacturing facilities at Rayagada (Odisha), Songadh (Gujarat), and Sirpur (Telangana), the company has a combined production capacity of over 600,000 TPA. JK Paper serves a wide spectrum of industries, including publishing, packaging, and education, and has built a reputation for quality, sustainability, and process excellence. Backed by strong backward integration into pulp and a robust distribution network across India, the company is recognized for its continuous focus on operational excellence and Total Quality Management practices.
Workshop Objective
The objective of this initiative was to design and deploy a structured, scalable eLearning program on Total Quality Management (TQM), enabling employees across plants to build a strong foundation in quality thinking and embed continuous improvement practices into daily operations.
The program focused on:
- Building conceptual clarity on TQM principles and their application in manufacturing environments
- Simplifying core frameworks such as PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) into practical, easy-to-apply workflows
- Driving behavioral adoption of quality practices across plant operations
- Standardizing quality learning across locations through digital delivery
- Enabling self-paced learning with interactive, scenario-based modules
- Reinforcing application through assessments, activities, and real-world examples
Workshop Summary
The TQM eLearning program was designed as a multi-module, SCORM-based digital learning journey, combining structured instructional design with high interactivity and multilingual accessibility. The modules were developed using Articulate Storyline, integrating layered learning, scenario-based interactions, and guided simulations to ensure engagement and retention. The learning flow was built to progressively move from foundational concepts to application, with each module incorporating real-world manufacturing scenarios, interactive checkpoints, and knowledge reinforcement mechanisms.
Key Highlights:
- Interactive modules covering core TQM concepts, including PDCA and the 10 Principles of TQM
- Layered learning design with gated progression to ensure concept absorption before moving forward
- Hands-on digital activities such as drag-and-drop exercises, scenario-based decision-making, and process simulations
- Multilingual adaptation (Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu, Odia) to ensure accessibility across plant locations
- Real-world examples mapped to paper manufacturing processes for contextual learning
- Integrated pre- and post-assessments to measure knowledge improvement and retention
- SCORM-compliant deployment on LMS enabling tracking, reporting, and certification
- Use of AI avatars and animated content (Vyond/Heygen) to enhance engagement and learner experience
